Endpaper

Terms of Use

The Endpaper iOS app and endpaper.space

These terms cover your use of the Endpaper iOS app and endpaper.space. By using Endpaper you agree to them. Where these terms don’t say otherwise, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app.

1. What Endpaper is

Endpaper is a private journal: you write, it keeps a dated record. Your writing stays on your device and, if you enable backup, in your private iCloud. We operate no server and hold no copy of your writing (see the Privacy Policy).

2. Subscription and trial

3. Permanence — read this one

Endpaper is built on a deliberate rule: what you write stays written. The app has no edit and no delete for committed entries, the way a pen has no undo. This is a feature, stated up front during onboarding — not a malfunction. Think before you commit a page; the point is to commit.

You always control the whole notebook: you can export everything as plain text, and deleting the app (and your iCloud data, in iOS Settings) removes your copy entirely.

4. Your writing is yours

You own everything you write in Endpaper. We claim no rights to it, no license over it, and — architecturally — we never have access to it. You are responsible for what you write and for complying with the law in your use of the app.

5. Endpaper is not therapy

Reflections are simple mirrors of your own words — counts, recurrences, verbatim quotes. They are not analysis, diagnosis, advice, or care, and Endpaper is not a substitute for professional mental-health support. If you’re struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a crisis line.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

Endpaper is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including loss of data, though we’ve designed the product so that your data never depends on us. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim.

Back up your notebook. iCloud backup is built in and free; export exists precisely so your writing never has a single point of failure.

7. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms; material changes will be dated here and, where they affect you meaningfully, noted in the app. You can stop using Endpaper at any time; export first if you want your record.
